MountainWestTradesBot is the crawler that reads skilled-trades job openings from employers' own careers pages and public applicant-tracking feeds, so those openings can be listed on Mountain West Trades with a link back to the employer.

How it identifies itself

Every request sends this user agent:

MountainWestTradesBot/1.0 (+https://mountainwesttrades.com/bot)

How it behaves

• It reads only pages and feeds an employer publishes for job seekers.
• It honors robots.txt. Disallow MountainWestTradesBot (or all bots) and it will stop.
• It makes at most one request every two seconds to any host, and visits each source about once a day.
• It never logs in, never submits forms and never reads Indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn or Google for Jobs.

What we do with what it reads

• Listings show "Listed from [employer]'s careers page" and send applicants to the employer's own apply page.
• A listing that disappears from the employer's site is marked expired within 24 hours.
• Pay is shown only when the employer's listing states it.

Use the listing removal request form — no account needed. We remove listings within one week and can stop crawling your site entirely.
